First System

Ok, i'm thinking to buy an entire sound system for my car, '03 Cavalier. I'm getting a In-Dash DVD Reciever, a Kicker ZX1000.1 Amp, a 15" Kicker CompVR, and Kicker KS525 Speakers.

I am looking for ear bleeding bass from this system, so keep that in mind, I don't care about words much.

My questions are:
2 or 4 Ohm Sub?
A Bigger Amp?
What type of wiring kit?

I'm only asking because my friend went to Las Vegas, and he knows everything about this.

If your to dumb to use photoshop and change the color of your own car then you don't need to see it changed. I'm not going to give my work away. I'll sell the pic to you though for $15."-Adam Kalin

if you go with that setup your gonna want to get that sub in dual 4 ohm or single 2 ohm to get the most out of the amp.
that amp should have plenty of power
go with either 4 gauge or 0 gauge wiring

are you on a budget? and if so what is it, you can do a lot better than a CVR for "ear bleeding bass"

1000rms is overkill for that CVR. 15" CVR is 500rms, so either get 2 or get a CVX or L7.

I have around $1000-1500 to spend. Everything stereo in my car is stock, but I will have professional installation done, but that is going to be free. So, what are better possibilities for my car?

get a 15 inch L7. and your gonna want to upgrade your stereo and speakers at some point so that you can get the most out of your system. as is you wont be able to turn your stereo all the way up and therefore wont be able to get the most out of your bass. just changing the HU will help but changing the speakers too will help the most.
