Two Channels In One Speaker

I snapped up this 2004 Cavy two years ago, love it. Listen to music in it for 2+ hours a day while commuting to work. In the course of the last eight months, three of the four speakers of crackled and finally died. Now all I have left is the rear right speaker. Having mixed all the channels to that speaker, I can listen reasonably well to music, but there's a complete loss of the stereophonic effects portrayed in songs.

When I mix the channels back out to all four and pound on the driver's door near the window crank, that speaker pops, works for about five seconds, and then dies again. Is this simply due to shoddy solders done at the plant in Canada, or is it possible to over-do the speakers even with that fruity little maximum volume feature of the deck? I haven't had the time to tear the door panels off as of yet, but I'm taking vacation soon to relax and am considering taking care of it then. Any recommendations or experience with said problem?

"I did it because I wanted to see what it would look like. You should be greatful that I even told you that it would look good. If your to dumb to use photoshop and change the color of your own car then you don't need to see it changed. I'm not going to give my work away. I'll sell the pic to you though for $15."-Adam Kalin

It's fully possible to blow speakers with any deck, ragardless of the power it creates. So yeah, you probably poochem 'em.

You can try bridging the outputs (+ of left, - of right) to mix the output, some decks support it.

do not bridge the out put from the deck....no deck can support that. If you want more power get an amp!
