So i read all the old post about this problem and checked all the things in those posts. I've checked the prongs for power and ground and found its not gettin power. I checked the cig plug and its getting power and the fuses in the fuse box are all good. Can i just wire in a power wire from the battery to just scan the computer or will that screw stuff up?
anyone know or anyone know where the scan port gets its power from in the wiring harness?
Did you for sure check the fuse for the cig lighter?
That was my problem before
Just cause a fuse looks good doesnt mean it is
the cig lighter works and i tested it with the multi meter and it reads so im guessin the fuse is good. i did look at the fuse and it looked fine
on some cars its on the mirror fuse ... can be labelled MIR/DLC on the panel .... DLC being the data port
