get a 4/G wiring kit to run to the trunk it will have the ground cable in it as well.and get a set of RC cables that have the ground line in the middle.use it for the remote line to the amp.

don't bother running 4 gauge on a 350 watt amp, that would b useless. If you plan on sticking with that amp for a while, just run 8gauge wire. Running larger will just cost you more and won't do any use to you.

you could use 8/G.
but you only get about 13.3V average down a 8/G wire
the 4/G will give 14.2V average
its best to go with 4/G

That may be a tad harsh. Even if the amplifier drew an ideal 350 Watts, or about 30 Amps at 12 Volts, that would translate into less than a 0.4 Volt drop over 20 Feet of 8 Gauge wire. Granted, 4 Gauge would be much less at 0.15V. (Handy voltage drop calculator)

yes he could get away with using 4/G
but i would sooner see the guy do it right the first time.then if he upgrades or adds a second amp down the road hes not going to need to upgrade the cables yet again.

that tiny wire is my 8/G remote wire.lol
go big or go home.

Why is your fuse right next to your amp? you have a lot of bare wire showing.

Thats what i was thinking, inline fuses are supposed to be close to your source of power, not at the amp.
and you might want to fix your wire connections at the amp and fuse, there is quite a bit of wire showing out. And why would you go with 8 gauge remote? Remote is just a signal wire basicly.

i feed as large of cable as i can.
this is just SPL
minimum fuses to keep up the volts
1 right at the amp and 1 right off the battery.
the amps come in and out day in day out thats why the connection is a bit ruff looking at the fuse.guess i really should refit that. .im always building boxes and tuning ports with the TL.so its always a bit messy.
thats why in the pic's you see duel 4/G to the subs.when im competing i use 2 amps.
but rest assured all connections are well bolted.

alright man, just was hoping that wasn't your everyday setup.

to the OP, IF you do go with the 4 gauge kit, which i'd rather see you get the 8 gauge. Try weldingsupply.com, if i got that link wrong, google it. It is welding wire, but way cheaper. While you are at it, buy some extra wire most likely 0 or 4 gauge, and upgrade your big 3. It will help a ton with your power. Some of the "power kits" you can order, is really cheap quality wire. The welding wire is pure copper, and is very flexible.

welding wire is the sh*t. but up here its worth more then 0/G
and yes the big 3 will help allot.most of all with the headlight dimming.it will help your alt charge the batter much faster.

slocav...
my system is only in the car for SPL season.it all comes out October until next May.
the setup runs 16V
and the 8/G remote runs straight from the battery with a kill switch.
if the weather works for me over the weekend im running 3 more leads of 0/G back to the trunk.ill post some pic's
also in the works of a second alt right under the factory alt.but we need to beat the firewall back 3 inches.its not gonna be an easy job.but worth it.

lol wow man, gotta hell of a setup it sounds like. What levels do you hit legally? Termlab?

I am going with a FI 15" BL in the spring, and just going to run a Hifonics amp then too. I most likely will get everything setup in the next summer, being that i still owe a bit on my car and I am young yet and work minimum wage.
