Hey guys. Just picked up a new amp. Its a kicker zx750.1.
I was just wondering what you guys would recommend as a good, solid sub for this amp to push. I'm wanting a sub that will be able to use most of the amps power (don't want to worry about blowing the sub if possible). And I'm wanting a sub that is 12" or 15" (nothing smaller than 12).
I'm open to suggestions. Just trying to get the best sub for my money. I'm wanting to spend in the region of $300 (budget).

Almost forgot. I'm looking for the sub to be running at 2ohms. I was possibly looking at a fosgate t1 12".

with a budget of 300 there are a lot of quality subs you could get. from the sub you mentioned in your first post i'm assuming you are looking for spl? if so the t1 would be a nice sub, however i'm not a big fan of the new fosgate stuff(i'm not saying it's bad though, just not a fan)
if you would like to stick with kicker for sub(s) i would suggest the cvx. it would love that power and will work better imo than an L7 or L5. i have owned 4 12" L7's and none of them have lasted more than an hour.
now if you would like something that is sql oriented i would highly suggest an Image Dynamics IDMAX. they are by far my favorite sub. They sound great on as little as 200 watts and just get better as you add more power
Personally, I'd stay away from kicker subs. What are you looking for SQ or SPL? Kicker is nothing but just loud, barely any sound quality imo. I wouldn't put at L7 on that amp either, you'll clip the hell out of it. Look into FI audio or RE. Or even Cerwin Vega, I am happy with my single CV Vmax.
how come that amp would clip the hell out of that sub? Only reason I ask is because The amp is 750 rms and the sub also is 750rms?
no reason for it to clip....but the kickers esp the L7 and L5 are just loud as hell. The T1 is a good choice also, i would look in to a alpine type r, T1, type x even...JBL, if you got the money go with JL. But i would stick with the alpine or the rockford
