Are they split or equal?
Tuesday, September 30, 2008 1:02 PM
As most of you know by now I have a mono amp wired up to two DVC subs.

The Subs are dual 4ohm wired with a 4ohm load on the amp. They are 300w RMS....

The amp claims 310w RMS on a 4 ohm load...

So my question is:

Are the speakers getting 310w a piece or are they splitting the voltage??

Less cause of resistance etc. As long as its loud enough for you its cool. I had two kenwoods and a pyramid amp for 3 months and two audiobahn tens before that on paper it looked like it would be weak but it was decently loud. I was probably looking at like 70 apiece cause i had no idea what the amps rms was.

Well I hav'nt dynamatted the trunk yet so I wont turn it up like I wanna... but its ok. I just want a smaller setup with equal/greater power.
