Get all the parts you need in a pile, and drive the car into it.
They will find their way into the correct places.

so.....you just have a bunch of open ended wires hanging there and your trying to figure out where they go?

you are not explaining the situation clearly. start from the beginning and form complete sentences.

ok, ill try this one more time.

my "friend" told me i had to re-wire my car. i know he was wrong, he is stupid blah blah blah. anyways, he cut the harness in a few spots. before each door, the wires under the seat, going to the fuel tank area, and all the tail-lights. no, i have a new harness from an 03 and have almost all of the wires re-connected. the only problem im having is that going to the rear lights, there was alot of black wires. after looking through my haynes manual, i've come to the conclusion that all the blacks going to the tail lights are grounds. is that correct?

my other question is about the wires under the back seats, that go to the fuel tank area. i have all of them hooked up except the blacks (3, from what i can recall) and two small white wires. what i want to know is, are the blacks there just ground wires? and what do each of the white wires go to? im wondering because if the blacks are grounds, thats easy, just ground them all. but the white wires are the same size, and i am afraid if i dont match them up right, the car wont start. as the car sits now, there is no engine in the car, and no wires from the firewall forward, so i have no way to make sure. i tried to follow the white wires on my old harness, but it became to difficult once the got past the wires for the door.

does this make sence now? i honestly cant put ANY more detail into what im trying to say.

much better.

if the haynes says they are grounds....then they are grounds. the new harness.....are the black wires cut at the end? usually they would have ground terminals on the end.

my biggerst concern isnt the grounds from the tails. what im worried about is those wires under the back seat that go to thea fuel tank/fuel pump. the white ones. what do they do?
