Bone stock sunfire, looking for some power options

Not sure if this is the right forum, assuming electronics goes for anything in the car.

Anyways as the title says I bought a sunfire over a year ago with absolutely no power options, not even a light in the glove box. Thought it was burnt out but nope, never existed.

I'm sick of taking my keys out in the dark and trying to find my lock. I just recently purchase a compustar pro alarm system that came with remotes the buttons are, unlock, lock, alarm and then a programmable button. What all would I need to add power lock acutuators have them function properly with the remotes from the compustar system. Also I have a trunk release button under my dash would it be possible to tap the alarm system into that so I have a keyless trunk too. Thanks for any help.

What exactly are you asking? They make universal aftermarket door lock actuators and trunk releases. You'll need for a 2 door car 2 actuators, a trunk actuator, and three relays. Trunk you'll probably need to do a reverse polarity - 30 and 85 to ground, 87 from your negative trunk output on your car, and then finally, your 86 to the positive for the trunk solenoid.

Doors: Get 2 wire universal actuators.

Since there's 2 relays, pay attention. I'll use left/right relay for arguement sake.

BOTH 87 to a fused +12 volt (10 amp fuse) along with the LEFT 85 and the RIGHT 86.
BOTH 87A (center) to ground
LEFT 86 is going to be - lock input
RIGHT 85 is going to be - unlock input
LEFT 30 feeds both door locks
RIGHT 30 feeds both door unlocks

Hey thanks for the detailed response, Helps alot. I bought three 30amp auto relays, picked up a couple of 2 wire lock actuators. so thats dealt with. Need a couple things cleared up.

So I can tie both 87, left 85, and right 86 to the same +12 volts with one 10 amp inline fuse or should they all be seperate?

basically on the actuator theres a negative and a positive, one is the input and one is the feed. theres a blue wire and a green. On the green side it says 12v so i'm guessing thats the feed?

and one final question. Do I need an extra relay and actuator for the trunk or can I tie into my trunk release button?

Is this diagram exactly what your describing? I realise a couple of those connections are different then what you said but it still turns out to function the same right?

Trunk - your trunk is probably a positive trigger, i forget, it might go to ground when you press the button, but your alarm will have a negative trigger. You'll just need a relay wired just like I mentioned.

For your door actuators, in a way there's a + and a -. to get it to go one way, green is + and blue is -, and reverse them, the actuator goes the other way. for the + on the two relays, tie them all together, put a fuse inline, then go somewhere for constant power.

Picture should help.

I can't see your picture, but they do make a 3 wire actuator that's very similar wiring to the 2 wire, but the middle of the 3 wire is either hot and they ground the two ends, or is ground and they put positive to the ends to move it.

Not sure why you can't see the diagram I posted but oh well, It shows everything being wired up identically to the diagram you posted. and that clears everything up with the trunk too.

Thanks again for the help, I'll be back if I run into any problems.
