Freeway GPS NEED HELP!!!! ASAP

hey guys i have just bought a freeway gps system its a little one that is portable and im hooking it up in my cavalier
i got a few ?'s.

1. i already have several cig lighter assesories, anyother way to get power to it?
2. mounting locations?? (pics)
3. i have satellite radio which runs with a cig plug could i splice into that and be ok??

and anyother suggestions i would much appreciate thanks

You can splice into the cig lighter wires and put it on.
Mount it in the very left corner of the dash either on the dash or on the windshield very low. Low profile is best. Trust me.
If I were you I would ground the negative anywhere and the positive hook up to the windshield wiper fuse so that it only turned on when the car was on.

If your unit runs on anything but 12 v you have to run the circuit board in between your positive connection somewhere though so the output is still 5v or 7v or whatever.

Your best bet is not to splice it at all unless you know what you are doing! I toasted mine because it runs off 5V's, not 12, and I just spliced right into the stock cig wiring and kaboom!
