So I am currently looking into starting on my audio system. For starters i was planning on upgrading to a new deck with navigation. I was looking at the pioneer avic d3 but i cannot find one for a decent price. Then i saw pioneers new f series models and im currently lookin at the avic-f700bt. I found them on ebay for $400-500 which is in my price range. I know it is double din so theoretically it should fit. But has anyone had any experience with it or how the fitment is?

My ex-gf had the avic-d3 in her 04 Cav. It fit good, and seemed to be a good unit. I'm thinking about going with one of the new pioneers myself.

I have the pioneer D3 in my fire and it's a nice head unit. The avic-f700bt is a sweet unit too.
Any info you need on any pioneer avic can be found here

Thanks for the input. I have decided on goin with this head unit. I did some further research into the whole class 2 radio thing and im not spending $80 on a harness to keep the stupid chimes. So from what I can tell ill need this harness. I see that the harness comes with an antenna adaptor. Is that the only one that i will need? Because on crutchfield it was showing that i needed two, or maybe it was just giving me two separate options. Also I am assuming that I will need a double din install kit which I also found on crutchfield. If there is anything thing I am missing please let me know. Thanks
