ok, i got my sub(alpine e series) hooked up to my 4 channel amp. i tried runnin my front speakers to the amp, but no sound is output. the sub works, but why aren't the fronts???
More Specifics on how theyre hooked up. Ohm load? Did you bridge the last two channels for the sub? Stuff like that will help.
Pics of how things are wired, description on how things are wired, model of amps, ohms load of each driver.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

couple of guesses..... hmmm.
Possible - only 1 set or RCA cables are running to the amp and they are set to L/P from the radio
Possible - only 1 set of RCA cables are running to the amp and are plugged into the Rear Inputs only
Without pics many things are possible, but those are my 1st gueeses without any more info.
yeah i do only have 1 set of rca jacks. i can get pics up.
you need rca's from the headunit to go into the front input of the amp

Do both ends look like this? Are there four total plugs on the entire RCa set?
NO , i'm an expert at this. if you couln't tell by the title. audio is not my thing and thats why i was asking for help. but thanks to those who did without sarcasim.
Im not being sarcastic.
I'm trying to help Christ. I know how you feel. I hooked up my first up by myself with absolutely no help from anyone. 2 days of trouble shooting and figuring it out myself. So be glad you have someone to ask.
If your head has a sub output, plug one RCA set into it and take that and plug it into the sub input (which I believe you do.) Take the other set of RCAs hook it into your front output on the head and into your speaker channel inputs. There you go. Or does your amp only have one set of RCA inputs?
How is your sub hooked up? Did you bridge the last two channels?
yeah i did bridge the last two. my deck has only one input, i am using the other for my xm radio. can i use a set of piggy back rca cables?, i'll put up a pic tomorrow or late tonight. i do have my sub working. but the front speakers are gone. i have them runnin to the amp, but i'm guessing i don't have them from the amp back to the deck
