Trunk Pop Button?
Thursday, February 05, 2009 5:42 PM
I installed power locks in my car today and after installing them I realized that the botton to pop my trunk doesn't work.
It came stock on my 03. I didn't do anything with the wires.. that I know of.
Relay still clicks. Ideas?

see if the wire at the trunk is plugged in, also see if it is getting signal.

I have two stock relays. If that's what you mean by unit..
I didn't even touch the trunk lock button or the wires. I was just messing around with my alarm unit that is in that general area and noticed that it didn't work but all wires were still connected.

maybe you blew a fuse? check your fuse panel

there is a black wire with a white stripe on it running down the drivers side. meter it and it should read 12v when popping your trunk. if it has voltage on press, your solenoid is the issue

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

I'll look today. Is there a ground with it also or do I need to make my own to test it.
