Horn?
Saturday, July 28, 2007 12:00 PM
So I just bought a 2002 Sunfire, and when I took it home, I noticed the horn doesn't work. How can I fix this? Where do I find the horn that's located in the car?

Thanks.

check the fuse first.

as i recall it is behind the front bumper, toward the fender, passenger side i think.

^^right you might also want to check the relay. Do you hear a clicking inside the car when you push the horn button?

It's a bad relay...I have the same issue, I've just been too lazy to fix it.

does your cigarette lighter socket provide power? if it doesnt, thats your problem. the fuse for the lighter is the same for the horn. mine blew a few weeks ago. if you think its the relay, try swapping the relay for the horn with one of the other ones in the box. if the relay is the same model, then you can swap it for something like the AC and see if the horn works then.

i would think if your hearing clicking that the relay would be fine.... thats the relay contacts closing.
