Hey guys, car alarm question, and I know it's kinda a shot in the dark... I've lost the box so not sure on the exact model but I have a viper alarm 2-way that I installed myself in the summer...
Pager looks like this one

No LCD screen, just the LEDs.
Anyways, here's my prob, it worked fine for months, and for the past 2 months maybe, the 2 way part of the alarm has taken a crap. My alarm still locks and unlocks the car, pops the trunk etc, BUT, my pager always beeps 3 times after a command is sent, saying it didn't recieve a signal. Now is this a common problem with the pager itself? Or a problem with the brain? I know it could be either but was kinda hoping you guys could give me some insight, and maybe some of the installers on here know if the pagers are @!#$ or what not and if I just have to replace it, lol.
Any help would be appreciated
There will always be someone faster than you, but thousands slower and dumber than you.
have ya tried to replace the battery?.. if it still functions as far as unlocking, setting the alarm ect ect and only beeps it cuold just be a warning lettin you know the battery is on the way out..
take it to autozone if you have on in the area , they have a signal tester for remotes..
Viper 2-Way system from my experience seem to always have the Antenna or the Remote go bad.
Go to a Viper Dealer, ask if they have a Replacement antenna, then unplug the antenna from your cable, take theirs outside and plug it in to see if it works.
Most dealers WILL NOT have a problem doing this for ya, just ask the guy to come out with ya to see if that is your problem. If so BUY IT FROM THEM.
If not, you have a bad remote.
The Brains for those system are the same as a 1-way system, so either it is the remote or the antenna. The antenna itselt has the 2-way technology in the circuit board that it has in it.
