Electrical Problem Need Help
Wednesday, February 25, 2009 2:22 PM
Tore apart my dash to replace heater core, put it all back together now turn signals/hazard lights and the horn don't work, also the light above the AC button on the HVAC is on all the time when cars running... Everything else "seems" to be running fine. Any suggestions how to fix this madness??

Take it all back apart and see if you unplugged anything, but check the fuses 1st with a test light and the ignition in the ON position. Easier than take each 1 out at a time.

Not sure exactly what the problem could be, but the horn is through the turn signal switch assembly which has the contact to the moving parts, as obvious as it seems check to see if the plugs are plugged in the switch, there are 2 i beleave one for the headlamps and stuff and the other for the rest of the fubctions, i missed one when i put mine back together the first time. as the the ac light being on it normally comes on in circulate inside air mode, and defrost mode, it it is otherwise on it would most likely be a wire just behind the climate control.
there isnt many other plugs that would relate to that.

Yeah, figured I would have to rip stuff apart again, wasn't sure if it could be something simple or not so I figured I would come on here and ask. Now that you say there are 2 plugs, I think I did only plug one in. Threw me off a little bit that the switch would work for the headlights but not the turn signals so I didn't even think the switch would have been the problem.

Thanks for the help!!!
