does anyone have a power acustic mofo im just wonder how the sub is and what you would use for an amp i was thinking of using a hiphonics amp
for the money you would spend on the PA Mofo, spend it elsewhere and look into a different brand.
PA is nothing but garbage.
i was also looking into the mofo but then i got the Fi BL. i think the mofo is like 150-175$ for a 12" and i spent 280$ for the BL and im highly doubting that the mofo could do what this bl is doin.
im going to have to disagree with slocav on pa being garbage. i really like their amps. ive owned 2 of them and had zero problems and very effecient. the one i have now the BAMF 2000/1D doesnt even get hot at all, barely even warm. but im no longer a fan of their subs... i wouldnt do it....
but if you did get the mofo try to get somthing that does around 1200 rms @ 1ohm and set it for around 1000-1100 rms just because im thinking that the mofo will not handle the rated power for a very long time.
i had my pa fubars on 300 watts rms each (rated at 800 rms each) and they sound really distorted now and just dont sound right. not blown but definatly distorted. could've been my fault tho... this was before i knew to watch out for clipped songs......

How about you tell us what your goals are, budget is, and amp you plan to power it with. Also, the kind of enclosure you want to run.

IMO bang for buck PA amps work great. Nothing fancy, but for the prices they can be had for a budget system they can work well.
Their subs, not so much.
Amps are decent. They do less than their ratings. Subs aren't so good. Their sister company, SPL, makes a monster sub that I had for a bit and really liked it.
well it will b a ported box sub facing forward it will b the wave style with the ports going to my trunk
