This may seem like a dumb question but I dont know much about car audio.I am planning on doing two 10" Alpine type Rs in a ported box and I was going to buy this Alpine V-power MRP-M1000 Mono amplifier to power them both but the guy at Best buy said they didnt carry an amp big enough to power those. Is this true? I thought that Alpine one would be perfect. Am I going to get everything out of these subs with this amp or do I need to buy more than one amp?
it will be fine. just wire the subs to get a 2 ohm load and youll be golden. but for the money i would get the aq1200 i hear great things about it. and then you can go to 1 ohm lol.

Oh ya and the subs I bought are the SWR-1022D which is the 2 + 2 Ohms one or something, what does that mean anyway? as opposed to the same type R but the SWR-1042D model?
