This is the battery Optima says to use for our cars but no where around me seems to carry this particular one, is the 75/35 the same size battery? (as far as actual size for fitting in place) What is the difference between the two? just cold cranking amps? Also I do have a stereo (nothing extreme) would I be better off going with a yellow top or just stick with the red. I know the yellow is for stereo and other accesories but not sure if it would be a must for me. And before anyone says to search, I did just nothing answered my exact question but I do realize there are tons of optima posts. Thanks for any help

75/35 is what you need. a 25 group battery is nowhere near the size of a 75, its much smaller. the 75 group and 35 group are the same physical size, the 75 being a side post and the 35 being top. the yellow top is a deep cycle, so if you sit for extended periods of time with the car off listening to your music, go with that. otherwise, get the red top.

anyone else have some input because the 75/25 is what Optima's site actually says. I have also been do a different place that carries the 75/35 and they told me it is bigger than the 75/25 so it won't fit. Anyone have some help??

i have a 75/25, i had to have it ordered and autozone becuase no one around here had anything optima in stock. the physical size isnt a problem with batteries, as long as it fits and has enough CCA and CA everything will be good. I have had mine in my car for a year now.
Ok, so what was the answer here?
My gf is wanting to pick up a new battery in the next week since hers is on the outs and we were going to grab a red top for her. But the place here only has 35/75 which I assume is the 75/35 and not some crazy difference.
So will the 75/35 be just fine?
yes.

Cool thank you.
(I suppose I should've mentioned it's an 02 sunfire 2.2 in the first post heh)
I believe mine is a 78/34 Red Top, it is 800CCA

for future searching purposes, i feel i must correct myself. the 25 and 35 group size batteries are physically the same size, but the 35 has the terminals placed the same as the 35. the 25 is reversed from a 75 series battery. but the 25, 35, (both of which are top post batteries) and 75 (which is a side post battery) all share the same physical dimensions.
