I installed some 6.5" speakers in the door panels of my '97 Cav Z24 coupe. They sound nice, but there is a lot of road noise and some resonance occuring. I don't have a powerful system - no amps or subs. I also don't plan on adding any. But I did want to knock out that backround noise a bit. A Crutchfield adviser told me that the Dynamay Xtreme speaker kit would be a good solution.
The kit only has two 10" x 10" squares that I would need to trim a bit. Would such small pieces of Dynamat have any noticeable effect? I didn't want to sound-deaden the doors entirely, just take the edge off some of the unpleasant noises they produce. Would this product by itself be worth it? If they work alright, I may buy another kit, and do the rear deck as well, though its not as problematic as the doors.
Any advice or experiences appreciated. Thanks!
eDead 80 would be a cheaper solution and you can buy it in whatever length you want or need. Dynamat is quite pricey.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

if you have no intention of doing much with your system, theres a brand of rubberized undercoating/sound deadener that we use on the trucks at work that seems to work well, as long as you spray it on thick enough. i cant remember the name of it off the top of my head, but i can check when i get to work
