Looking to upgrade battery and alternator

What would you guys recommend for me to get to upgrade my battery and alternator from stock? I was looking at getting a Optima YellowTop but I'm not sure what kind of alternator to get. Is a Optima YellowTop a good choice? I want to be able to power everything like my sound system, etc. But at the same time, I want to get a high performance alternator that can keep up with the high performance battery and charge quickly and keep my electrical system running smoothly.

Try doing the Sticky at the top on the big 3 read that, it's pretty simple and straight forward.

Also try filling out your profile cause depending on your motor you might be able to get away with a new stock replacement for a gm truck.

So an Optima YellowTop wouldn't be a good choice? I don't need a serious amount of power here, I just need enough power from the stock battery and alternator that came with my car since I have never changed them since I've owned the car for about 2.5-3 years. I just want a performance battery and alternator that will have no problems powering my 35 watt hid kit, 70w h3 foglights, LESS than 1000w RMS sound system @ 4 ohms, and my radar detector. My car isn't a show car (not anymore atleast) and I don't sit with my car in the on position using power for that long at all. So I don't need like an insane setup that show cars would need to power the flashing lights and stuff without the motor being started, etc.

And btw, RaGiN Z, I have the 2200 LN2 motor. I just need enough power where everything in my car is powered to the max without having such a rough load like my stock battery and alternator have from all my stuff running that I listed above, along with the motor running efficiently as well.

just get a brand new reman alternator and an optima yellow or red top at your local autozone. Those will probably do just fine for what you have.

Where can I find a good price on an Optima YellowTop? Is there anywhere online to get them for cheaper than AutoZone? I have already been to my local AutoZone and didn't like the price of the YellowTop there.
