looking for a change

ok so long story short i have a 15 kicker l7 and a zx1000.1 amp..sub is 4 ohm dvc running 2 ohms right now...i hit around 143db...im looking to buy or trade my system for a better sq system...not really worried about sub size(10's 12's or whatever lol) but i want to get about 140db with a good sq...any suggestions? or should i just go to a sealed box?thanks in advance

Get rid of the L7, get an ID MAX dual 4 and run that.

i like fi audio cheap enough and great performance.

i have a single 12" bl and im hitting somwhere in the 140 range

This. Hell, you wanna be able to get loud and still sound good, get a pair of IDMAX 12's and an amp that can push em. You will enjoy.

get 2 of the new sundown subs coming out next month $330 a pair and you'll hit around 149

Uh? Yep Ill get my Pyramid amp out. Are you gauranteeing me 149 db on 200 watts?

They wont be that loud for $330. A Sundown sub now runs more than that. Theres guys running two Sundown 18s and are hitting slightly above that. Thats around $800 in subs.

not going to get into some of the other posts in here, lanman made pretty much the best suggestion. id take image dynamics sound quality over about 90% of the subs on the market right now, its what i personally run. and the idmax will likely hit just as hard if not harder then 90% of the subs in its price range.

ID MAX is a damn damn good SQ sub, won't break the bank, and can get loud.

Dude, walmart sells these sweet duals in a bandpass box that lights up... I had a friend who hit 198 DB with them in his blazer with 8 guage wiring and a 4900 watt amp! Peak, of course.

Just thought I'd throw my $0.02 in
