1999 Sunfire (9007 bulbs) to 1999 Cavalier conversion (9005,9006)

Library schem
95-99 Cavalier


Driverside
High Beam Positive = Dark Blue
High Beam Ground = Pink
Low Beam Positive = Orange (or Blue)
Low Beam Ground = Dark Blue

Passengerside

High Beam Positive = Orange
High Beam Ground = Pink
Low Beam Positive = Orange
Low Beam Ground = Dark Blue

[u]95-99 Sunfire
Driverside
High Beam Ground = Green
Positive = Black
Low Beam Ground = Tan

Passengerside
High Beam Ground = Green
Positive = Black
Low Beam Ground = Tan

My conversion

Drivers side

High beam ground=
(Sunfire)green
(Cavalier)pink

Positive(+)=
(Sunfire)Black
(cavalier high beam+) Dark Blue
(cavalier low beam +) Orange or Blue

low beam ground=
(Sunfire) Tan
(Cavalier) Dark blue


Passenger side

High beam ground=
(Sunfire) Green
(Cavalier) Pink

Positive(+)=
(Sunfire)Black
(cavalier high beam+) Orange
(cavalier low beam +) Orange

low beam ground=
(Sunfire) tan
(Cavalier) Dark Blue

If I group the wires together and solder as they are above, does it look like it is going to work? Or is there a better DIY?

why dont you just unplug the the headlight harness from under the battery tray... then go to the junk yard and pick up the harness from the 95-99 cavaliers and just plug that in place if the 9007 harness..

Hey man. So your 100% sure the headlight harness is just plug and play? I"m drving 1hr and 1/2 to pick up the fornt end and have to assemble it in his drive way haha. just making sure it'll work

Haha thanx man. Its nice just to have that reassurance. I just don’t wanna get there and start swearing up and down when it will not work because it is supposed to rain tomorrow lol

worked for me when i did my 1996 cavalier and swapped it to the 02...

You all lied to me!! It didn't work:O!!! haha. Only thing I had to do was add a 12v constant to the blue wire on the high beam on the left(drivers side). Works perfect. 90% done the swap. Just need to fix a crack and repaint:>
