replace factory 6x9 on 04 LS

So there are four wires. I get that two are for the tweet, and two for the "sub" or mid part of the 6x9. Which are for which. There are dark blue, and light blue. light blue with black like and something else i forgot. everything is all mounted up, i just need to know what goes where. Is it the kind of thing where I should take one set and stick it on the new speaks i got and get some seperate tweets for the other set? I don't need anything spectacular, but better then factory was desired so i bout infinitis for all around. The fronts are whatever to replace, but the rears have me scratching my head. any input would be greately appreciated.

You need to BYPASS the Factory amp to get FULL RANGE sound. Period.

Otherwise your stocks will sound better anyway.

The Factory amp is behind the carpet in the trunk on the drivers side rear quater panel.

Find the wires coming from the radio into the amp, or just runs a pair of speaker wires up to the back on your headunit.

Thanks a lot for the info. I wish you'd have replyd just a bit sooner. I assumed since the deck had a factory amp that the factory deck didn't have much output for speakers without an amp, so i went a head and bought a new head unit. I got a "cheap" kenwood as cheap is relative. It plays cd's and the factory deck didn't any longer. the damn wiring sucked, but i went a head and made the chime work too as i'm planning on selling the car soon. Then went ahead and ran new wires for the front and backs because, well, i can, and was already knee deep into it by the time i had the dash apart. So all told, i have replaced the head unit, wires, speaks, belt, battery, and window motor, (which was wired backwards internally and i had to cut the wires and put them backwards so both windwos rolled the same direction). fun freakin' fun weekend. (i really did enjoy it though)
