I have a 95 Sunfire GT.
I am in love with the KD-AVX77 from JVC.
I am not opposed to modifying the vent in the back of the dash to some extent. I just need it to still be able to defrost the windshield if needed.
Any of the pro's out there installed one of these and will it be too much to squeeze it into the Sunfire console.
why do u think it will not fit, it is a single din, the stock radio is 1.5din, so u would have plenty of room around the sides, only problem is the depth, which u may have to play with the wires int he back to get them far enough back so u can mount the radio once it is installed in the dash kit. but i dont see why it would fir, i looked over the specs, am radios like that have so many features that most people never use, and the power isnt that great for the price, its only 50x4

I have two amps for all my speakers (monoblock and a 4 channel), plus I plan on a small amp for the center channel, so I won't even hook up the speaker wires off the head unit. I will probably want more features as time goes on LOL. I was mostly worried about it not fitting depth wise. I have a similar JVC now and it required me to cut some support plastic for it to sit flush with the dash kit. I would kill to have a completely flush head unit, but, that most likely never happen.
thanks for the help, I am going to get one now LOL
yeah it'll fit. Worst case scenario you won't be able to use the trim it comes with.
well there is plastic all the way at the back, it wont hurt anything if u move all the wires out of the way and trim it down with a dremel or something of the sort. but i think most cavaliers/sunfires dont have flush mounted radios without trimming that, because the stock radio is not as deep as most aftermarket head units
