okey the other month i got my sub and amp and a new cd player installed and the guys that did it said that i will need new front speakers because the stock speakers wont work with after market deck...so i just got around to getting them now...i cut the plug for the stock speakers and connected to the after market wires...nothing

there's no reason the stock speakers wouldn't work with an aftermarket head unit. they were trying to sell you new speakers, and thus didn't hook up the wiring from the factory harness for the front speakers.

I would go back to the shop and raise hell. I know how it is, I have worked at shops that like to push alot of add-ons.
This being why I do all of my own work
well there is an easy way to find out just take the radio out, (assuming u know how) and see if the wires are hooked up, there are four sets of matching colored wires that go to your four interior speakers, i think the are purple, green, grey, and one other color, but there will be two of each one is a ground and the other is power, if any of those four sets of wires are not connected, then u raise hell, lol

WOW. I mean, yeah I push my customers to upgrade their speakers when I do a deck install, but I'd never go as far as to leave the speakers disconnected.
That's bull.
