No to all. Thats all crap. Ill let someone who has more experience with amps suggest some but stay away from those brands. They are all horrible. Dont waste your money.
They say theyll do like 800 watts or whatever but theyll do something closer to 150 watts.
get the 2nd, dont worry about overpowering either that amp will never see 1000w, maybe 300 tops. I got a pyle amp 2000w thinking i was bangin hard when i first got a system, ya 2000w max 150rms
It hink the second Alpine that Jl suggested would be your best bet but Im a little biased.
The new ones you posted up are still the type that probably wont deliver the power they say. I did have an Xplod amp for awhile and it was a decent little amp but I got it for free. For the money I dont think youll be able to beat a higher quality used amp.
? what about my post didnt make sense? and i picked one out of his selections i thought that was the budget he was working with

just wasn't well written out and hard to understand. granted yes he did ask for the best in those options but as mentioned above you could buy a used quality amp for the same price and have something allot better. there's no sence in buying swap meet stuff, just save up a few extra bucks and buy something that will last.

i cannot see it either, and my apologies for not thinking about used amps never gave it a thought.
No prob man. Definitely a good way to go on a budget. If cosmetics don't matter to you, you can get some killer deals on good power simply because they are used and might be dinged up.

i got my memphis amp used. its great 1000w in a smaller amp, the paint and such doesnt look the greatest but it sounds good so thats all that matters, my amp is hidden anyways
So i bought a mtx monoblock cass D amplifier (TC3001) from future shop. After talking to the installer he told me it would power the sub just fine. Now my sub says 4ohms on the back of it. Just wondering how to hook this amp up to the sub to get the most out of it. The amp has inputs for 2 speakers at 2ohms or you can go from + on one input to - on the other input to get 4 ohms. How should i go about hooking it up. Aparently at 2 ohms it runs at 300 watts rms.
How many leads are on the back of the sub? 2 or 4?
Youre ohm load on your amp is determined by your voice coil configuration on your sub. And since it only has 2 leads its single voice coil. And with a SVC sub whatever your VC resistance is thats what your ohm load on your amp will be. So just match pos and neg to one set of inputs on your amp and thats it. The second set is for another sub which you dont have. A lot monoblocks have it. Its just for ease of installation.
It also says you can use the + from 1 set and the - from the other set. Will that give me more power?
If its set up the same way as mine then no because the two sets of outputs are internally paralleled so the power is just being sent out the one instead of the other until a second sub is put on it then it splits the power..
I was also looking at the specs for the sub and its apparently dual voice coil but there is only 1 set of terminals that i can find
I just searched the number you gave up top and it came up as SVC on the
Pioneer Spec Page.

Interesting. Everthing i looked at said dual coil but i trust pioneers site. lol. So Ill just hook it to one set of out puts what should i set the frequency, bass boost, and gain at for that sub. Its in a .6cuft sealed box.
Dont touch the bass boost. Youll break stuff. Read the Sticky at the top of the forum for the gain setting info. Im assuming by frequency you mean low pass. So set that at about 80 hz.
Ok thanks. Should the bass boost be all the way down
