So today I see my abs light come on while I was driving. I stop turn it off then try to start it. Battery is dead. Then I jump it and it dies after 2 min. Then I jump it about 3 hours later and drive it home and turn it off then it starts normal. It held a charge for a while and now im sitting in my car with it doing the same electric @!#$ as before.

Im thinking a bad connection or the alternator but not sure. Any ideas?


I'm about to go tear into it and see if there's any lose connections.

Have you measured anything with a meter yet?

Not yet. Cleaned up all the connections its on the battery charger right now then I'll start it and see how its doing from there.

if u can get it to an autozone they will test it for free. and if you have charged your battery a few times and its not a deep cell type battery your likely going to need a new battery as well. but get the alt issue fixed first.

It was the alternator. Battery is fine. Replaced the alt on monday and no problems since.
