New Project(s)

I recently parted ways with my Lanzar and box. Sold it to a kid with an extended cab S-10 for 3 Hundo lmao. He heard it and offered me cash right there. I made about a $100 profit. With that said, I'm wanting to go big, on a budget. Here is my tenative plan. I can get a Kicker CVR 15 for 80 bucks from my buddy and another brand new one for about 120. My friend had four of them in his S-10 and it was stupid loud. I was with him when we had it metered at 167 DB. He popped an eardrum and sold it all a few weeks later however hah. So I'm gonna downsize a bit and go with two CVR 15's tuned to somewhere around 33 HZ. I'm looking to hit like 155 which I see as more than doable for around $250 with the subs. I'm going to try to sell my Hifonics 1505D and get something a little less power hungry hopefully. I need a solid amp to push like... 1200 to these subs. Ideas?

The other project is a little more laughable. Me and my buddy are in the process of hooking up as many borrowed systems as we can in my mom's minivan. We've got five batteries running it all and so far we have 2 Xplod 12's, 1 Audiobahn 12, 1 CVR 15, 2 L7 10's, 3 P3 12's, and 3 L5 12's running on 2 kicker 1200.1's, my hifonics 1505D, and some rockford amp that's pushing like 2K watts lol. If anyone wants to see this circus I can get some pics and vids up : P

I just pissed all over my face. I've read this five times, and each time, I tinkle on my chin. If a lightning bolt comes out of nowhere, you'll know you really pissed baby jesus off.

LOL. NO. you are not going to do 155 with 2 15" CVRs and 1200 watts. lol

2 15" cvrs on 500 watts hits a 140.5, so no. lol keep dreamin...

I knew no one would like me dropping my lanzar and heading for kicker lol. But I now have one CVR 15 in a box tuned to 33 HZ and I'm very happy with it. Besides the constant clatter of my roof.

Pics will be up soon. We're adding more subs and we had to give some batteries back since they were out of people's cars. Saturday the whole thing is going in the van for the day. We'll flex some windows and make some noise and call it a day lol. I just thought I would throw this out there though. I'm not trying to start any arguments, I loved the lanzar, but I was pushing around 1300 watts to it, and the CVR is louder with only 900 headed it's way. SQ isn't as good, but SPL is quite a bit better.

What box was the lanzar in vs what box for the CVR? What were they tuned to?

Your car may do 13 sec @ 103 mph, but my car does 146db @ 35 hz.

Both boxes are built to T/S parameters. The Lanzar was in about 1.8 cubic Feet and was tuned to 34 and the Kicker is in around 2 cubic feet tuned to 33.

Next question would be port area. And meter readings.
