I'm concerned. Very concerned.

Your car may do 13 sec @ 103 mph, but my car does 146db @ 35 hz.

Steve. You arent allowed over here ever again. Just for that.

Anton he wont need an extra battery. You shouldnt need an extra battery as long as your just bumping around town.

Volfenhag=swap meet junk.

I had some years ago and they fried within months.

Same for pyramid imo, I had an old reno series for a long time

ugh..... every single brand you listed is garbage. absolute garbage. I'm concerned for you as well.

You need a bit of guidance Bad will sound good until you hear better. How many times in my time on JBO will I say that line?

dealers buy volvenhag subs for about $5-10 a piece, thats how high quality they are. if your on a tight budget, ditch both subs and the cap and just buy 1 single quality sub, 1 high quality sub will likely hit harder and will definatly sound better then two cheap swap meet subs.

if its right for him. but no, i also like ascendant audio, ssa, sundown and many more. but if those are out of his price range. then i would suggest maybe some jl w0's i heard them at sound connection in st cloud, very clear sounding subwoofers. and they are only 100$ a piece. (for a 10" IIRC) it helps to know if he just wants some beat in the trunk or if he wants to be louder than you (or any of his freinds). lol

I just want a fairly good sytem in my car without spending way too much

Re: my new setup..

well what is too much to you?

I bet if you got some decent drop in 6.5's up front with a little bit of amplification, and a single 12" JL W1 in a ported box you would be more than happy.

I would say get some 6.5" drop in's like the Alpine Type-R coaxials, or something by Rainbow or even the Kickers you were looking at. Then a small 2 channel amp putting out 50 watts rms per channel at 4 ohms. After that, snag a 12W1 and a properly built ported box for it and a small mono amp putting out about 200 watts rms. I see a system as simple as that being much cleaner, more reliable, clear, loud enough, and over all better than what you originally wanted. You need to keep in mind that those power ratings on those amps and subs from the garbage brands you were looking at are not actual output, and they will sound horrible and who knows how long that flea market crap will last.

What about the Kicker 07C104's?

just forget about ALL of the brands you listed in your original post, that is unless you allready have them, then i owuld use them. it would also help if you stated your price range to spend, and what you allready have for audio equiptment.

How big is the trunk in the 240?

Re: my new setup..
Tuesday, September 22, 2009 4:23 PM
Big enough... I don't use the trunk at all =)

What are you thinking of?

Re: my new setup..

This is the route I'd go.

Not sure on the VC config exactly depends on what amp.
