So i went on a spending spree and sold all my stuff and bought new stuff for the north east finals db drag show. ended up getting an american bass 400.1 and 2x aq hdc3 10's. also went with a nsb 2400 battery up front and still have my kenwood kdc x993. my wire didnt come in in time so i only had 1 run of 0 gauge.

so i get to mass to meet up with my team and do some testing and i hit a 147.3 at 45hz car running. not bad for throwing in my box and not tuning. well i start messing around and end up with a score of 146.5 car off. i decide to call it a night and tune some other day. the next day im on my way to buffalo and the amp blowes up.

voltages were fine and ohm load was only at 1 ohm so that was fine. so i get to buffalo and throw in a spare 1k amp and just bass race. came out with first in the 129.9 class. got a 25 dollar gas card, and some wierd battery saver thing that pops off battery when it gets to a certain voltage so you can still start your car.. then on my way back home im driving 600 miles and im crazy tired as i havent slept in in 3 days. i start swerving so im like screw this im gonna rest in mass.. and im following my team mates and end up getting a ticket for 83 in a 65 and another ticket for failure to signal a lane change.

so this weekend was quite expensive. just thought i'd come out here and show what my score was and i will be updating this thread with my progress on my setup as i go on with tuning and finalizing the install.

to be honest i never clamped it.. i planned to but it blew up haha its rated at about 4k at 1 ohm. i had it at .25 ohms but it kept going into protect even if i rolled the volume. i moved it up to .5 (using 1 coil on each sub) and it was alright but i knew i cut the thermal rating in half on the subs so i just wired to 1 ohm and left it. i was limited to one battery at the time so when i throw in a second and my other runs of 0 gauge (6 total) it should be stable at .25

Does it have a regulated voltage supply? Because getting an MLA or running a 16 volt ystem could really help. The judge from the one comp I went to said 1 volt equals 1 db so you could get up to 149ish.
its not regulated but in the classes i run are limited to 14 volts.

damn nice!!! very good score for street a. beats me for sure! hopfully with the BTL i hit close to that....
how big is that battery? and where can i get some info? im looking for a really solid up front battery and another for the rear. the only thing that sucks is that in street a you can only have 1 650 cubic inch battery up front and 1 650 cubic inch in the rear..

haha search it.. its one of the strongest street a batteries out.. you can go with the nsb 2700 but it wont fit up front.. the nsb 2400 fits fine and is pretty damn powerful.
