Alright here is the deal..... I blew my engine last year and replaced it. And ever sense i got it back on the road i've gone through three alternators and its getting a little old. i have a LD9 with a auto tranny. now what im asking is what could be causing this.. I do have a sound system but i also have Two 1 farad Caps.... I trouble shot it for two hours last night and still cant find out whats going on. I thought that i had a loose wire or something but they are as tight as they get.... and i just put the alternator in from NAPA.... im going to replace the alternator sense its lifetime and well hope that it works.... im running out of ideas... i also replaced the battery..

i also used a maltameter and test the alternator while the car was running on the post coming out of the alternator. it read 12.04 VOLTS help me please!!!!!!

Toss the caps. Your voltage regulator is shot. Also get your batteries load tested.

Your car may do 13 sec @ 103 mph, but my car does 146db @ 35 hz.

Caps will actually hurt your electrical. I got more voltage drop with a cap than without one.

If your battery is bad its putting extra load on the alt to power the car.

Also is your alt overdriven at all? Spinning the alt to fast will also cause premature wear.

You also have to make sure you're alternator and battery can maintain the current drain on your system. say your car draws 100amps you're alternator is rated at 110amps and you throw 20amps of extra gear in the car. you have 120 apps on a system capable of 110 amps.
