Just wondering if any yr models cavaliers ever came from factory with a under hood light and trunk light.
My car has neither,and it drives me nuts not having a light there,so does any body know where i can get some if they were an option?
I looked on gm parts direct and they show a bulb for the trunk, but nothing other than that,anybody got any info to help me out? Thanks.
dont think they did... but always wanted to take the underhood light from the 90s silverados with the retracting line. but cavs did come with trunk lights though..
Thats my main concern, I'd really like to have a trunk light,so far my search has come up dry.
Where did gm mount the light in the trunk at?
if you open the trunk .. its located almost on the edge of the trunk roof. you most likely have a blown out bulb.
Got a pic? dude I've looked and looked,and came up with nothing.
Which doesn't make since,the car is loaded with all power options,and yet no trunk light? i thought that was weird.

I figured that's where it had to mount but wasn't sure.
Question now is where to locate a factory light setup? anybody got a hint?

did you see a metal retainer clip? in that spot. sometimes it gets sunk up in there.
No clip and no wires running to the hole,so i guess i have no trunk light.
The sad thing is, most of the yards here don't let you run the yards for parts,so for me to call around for a trunk light,all I'll get is"lemme call you back and see what we got" and they never call back.Had that happen when i was looking for small interior parts for the cavalier when i first bought it.
I had an ole faithful yard i used to go to a lot,and now they wont let customers walk the yard cause of insurance regs.
Sad ppl get sue happy any more and take the fun away.
Go to the yard. Talk to the guy running it. He should be able to tell you pretty quickly. They can just push you aside when youre there in person.
Looking on Craigslist at the moment for ppl parting out there cavs.

I just looked again since i seen how your wire's were routed, and i couldn't believe my eyes,the light was tucked next to the speakers.
I'm guessing my bro in law moved it when he owned it.
