Ok I'm a little stumped on this and I seek a LED/electronics guru to help me on this.
I have two map lights and regular single bulb dome lamp. I placed 2 LEDs on the front map lights and LED 2watt bulb on the dome. When the lights dim down, the front map lights never turns completely off and has like a ambient glow.
I take off the dome LED, and the map lights still glow.
I place a filament bulb and the glow turns off.
I purposely bought a higher watt LED thinking it needed a draw to turn them off, more than 1 watt. But I was incorrect, it still glows.
Now is this because of the "theater dimming" and the computer does not recognize? What is the deal?
And how can I resolve the glow while still using a LED?

Anyone?
I found out that when the car is on the light still glows. The only time it shuts off, is when the battery rundown protection kicks on. Stationary w/engine off 20 mins after closing the door.
How can I turn the glow off while still using LEDs?

Mine is the same way, it doesn't bother me as it looks cool and doesn't hurt anything
Its because LEDs run off such a small amount of power that if any power is still left in the line, that it will still glow. Its not going to hurt anything.
what you can do is add a couple of diodes in series with the dome light wire. It'll drop the voltage down .2v per diode.
