I put a 7" double din in my brothers cavalier and there was about 3/4 of and inch gap on each side, Im sure if you put a bit of creativity in to it you could get it to sit flush.

Well it looks like a flip out to me. It almost has to be if its a single din. I think youre going to have issues getting that to fit in a standard dash kit since it seems like it would be kind of wide. The biggest single din flip outs Ive seen are 7 inch.
It would take some work but if its flip out it should fit.
Yea, I'll be sticking with a regular 7" double din then. This was a little too big imo but the flip out will just make it harder.
Thanks for the input guys.
Your still going to have fitment issues. On my brothers 99, we had to cut a piece behind the stereo and trim the piece that covers the dash because the Hu is higher
Your going to need to make up some brackets also to hold it in place. Just a little heads up just in case you never knew,

Yea, I read a while back that some mods were necessary. Ty for the heads up. What pieces to cut and what to trim am not sure though haha. But that's all in the spring. Just trying to gather parts/info for now.
I had a 7 inch flip out in my car with no fitment issues. Depends on the brand. If you want it to flush mount you will have to cut the metal piece out in the back and youll have to adjust the mounting ears on the mounting kit too.
Last one of those that I put in ended up leaving the lights on the buttons on all the time, even with the car off.
Not a fan of the quality.
you get what you pay for. i probalby wouldnt go that cheap on a standard radio let alone a flip out tv.
ive got a 7" double din in without much trouble. fabbed some brackets out of metal. cut out the back a little so it would fit flush and plopped it in. anyone with halfway decent skill shouldn't have much of a problem with a standard flipout.

am sure ill know what to do once i cut into this. any pics of the brackets?
and yes i agree, it is cheap for a touch screen dvd player. i will be staying away... craiglist that avic d3 :-)
Yeah i should have mentioned that The quality of these aren't the greatest, there good , but not the greatest, I bought mine for 30$ Then the little clips that hold the screen up broke and now its having troubles playing disks. The DUAL Brand dvd players from walmart are better than these.

that right there tells you something. i wouldn't even touch dual myself.
as for the clips im sure i took pics somewhere, but its basically just a big L bracket looking design. to screw into the headunit and to the front face of the opening.

Check out the unit direct through Eonon. After hearing about some of the quality issues that have been brought up I would be a little wary about it.
However if you have your heart set on it you can get it a little cheaper direct from the company as well as free shipping anywhere in the US.

I don't know if you caught it on the EBAY page, but the unit has a tilt face so be cautious when doing the fit-up for it so that you don't loose the ability to load a DVD...
One of my friends has a JVC double din unit with similar options but it is a littler pricier, I will see if I can find out the model number. Has a touch screen, GPS, phone/bluetooth etc.

Did you seriously just bring back a 2 year old thread? I highly doubt that it is relevant any more. Not that your post really makes much sense anyway.
