hey guys, i was wondering if anyone has ever tried to install a oem factory navigation system from like a 03 escalade in a 2000 z-24. i got a brand new unit but was wondering how i could make it work for my car. i have read a little about this unit (delco part no 15204334) but only info on putting the unit in other similar trucks. the guy i got the unit from gave me the gps antennae but does not hook directly into the head unit. and info is helpful. i got this unit for free but really would like to try to use it. it sells on ebay for like 900 bucks. i know i could just buy an aftermartket one for a lot less but since i got it free i want to try to use it

i see no reason why it couldnt be a stand alone type thing, used in conjunction with your stock unit. but thats just me...with enough money, anything can be done.

im going to try it out but i was trying to find where i could find wiring for the backup camera and dvd intergration

get your wiring diagram to find out what each wire does and go for it, worst thing that happens is it doesnt work and you sell it on ebay for $900 and just get an aftermarket unit. heck you could get a really nice aftermarket unit that will drop right in for that much money though without all the hassle.

i was just told by a mechanic that this unit functions with the computer of the car. so if some functions work some others probably would not....... going to the highest bidder now lol
