here is whats going on. the kid that had my car before me totally half-a$$ed everything. he tried changing gauge clusters and cut the original harness and pitched it. and since i've had it the gauge lights don't work with the headlights on and also the ac/heater controls don't light up.

yesterday i was at the junkyard and got the harness from another 97 but there are 2 wires on the harness that don't match wires from the loom coming from the car, on the harness there is a thicker light green and thicker tan one & out of the loom there is a smaller solid blue one and thicker pink wire. i tried looking at the schematics in the haynes manual but i can't seem to hunt up a solution. does anyone have any ideas on how i can fix this?
