SO. I got my stuff in the mail coming to me. So today I figured I would wire up my car so when my gear arrives it will be plug and play.
Anyways. I did a few installs before, but I have a question. The battery is in the trunk. So I attached the ground wire to the negative terminal on the battery. I figured most people dont do it because the battery is usually under the hood, and its just alot more wire to run, I know its not grounded to the vehicle itself, so im not sure if that will be an issue.
So the question is, being as the remote wire will be attached to an acc. power wire. and there wont be power being drawn from my amp while the car is off, will this setup be alright? Sorry if this seems dumb, I have tried looking on youtube, and searching here.
Dont ground to the battery. Youre likely to pick up electrical noise.
As long as the circuit doesnt have power with the car off your amp wont draw any power.
Alright, thanks, just as long as nothing blows up. haha
