What are you guys doing for your front speaker? I can barely here mine!!1 sounds like all my sound is comming from the rear. and when i put all the sound to the front you can barely hear it.
Now my car did come with a monsoon amp. But i couldn't figure out the wiring so i by-passed it and wired te rear speaker directly to the deck. Now the fronts are still in the harness connected to the deck.
I have all pioneers stock sizes. I have tried tweeters but i couldn't get them to sound right so i tossed them. any suggestions? i know alot of cars have actually speakers on the dash near the windshield but i know there is no room up there for the smallest speakers!

If u don't want to replace the speakers u have, get a small amp for them

You don't want to know what I'm doing for front speakers
Your best best would be to swap out your 4x6s for 6.5" speakers. Or take a look at the qlogic kickpanels if your worried about imaging.
meh, Jason, I really wouldn't toss tweeters in with some drop in replacement speakers personally... Not going to help his sound right. But definitely get yourself a little 4 channel amp to those speakers and you should be more than happy with the sound.

I have a Rockford Fosgate 4 channel prime amp powering all my speakers...still can barely hear the fronts. I have infinty reference 6x9s in the rear and alpine type S 4x6s in the front. any suggestions?
6.5s in the front doors. Bridge the amp to make a 2 channel and feed the fronts some power.
But thats just what I would do.

then you did something wrong. You might not know how to tune the amp right, some settings might be off on the head unit, something is off if your fronts are amped and still faint. It's not the equipment, I'm guessing.

Could be. Give us a run down of how everything is hooked up and what kind of speakers they are.

WTf did you say? I am sorry but I don't understand "Im kinda matching rms for the speakers to the deck for now"??
And if you have the speakers(not mids, as I almost said, but it looks like you... ugh.... are running coaxials AND extra tweeters), to the door panel, I would hope you reinforced something, and did a full baffle sandwiched between the panel and door for the best mounting and sound..... But I honestly doubt it.

I take it that he means the deck output it 20x4 RMS so he's running speakers rated at 20RMS each?
That's the only thing I could figure out, but his wording sounded like he thought he was able to adjust the speakers power handling, or the decks output or something lol.

yeah sorry i reread it and it was odd lol, the speakers right now are 30 rms 160 max and my deck is 22rms 50 max, its a temp setup till i found a nice setup and amp, surprisingly the door panel dont rattle but i will reinforce it when i swap them out again, i was toying with ways to set it up as i dont like the speakers mounted behind the panels since pullin the panels all the time is a pain, but i am here to heed advice from more veteran audio guys
Well definitely see what you can do about measuring the distance from the door panel to the door itself. Make a mounting baffle that is a bit smaller to leave a gap, and use a thick flexible rubber gasket. That way it seals tight, without issues of saying "oops, too big, door panel won't go on". Another thing to do, get a bit of sound dampener and do the back of your door panel, the inside of the sheet metal, then seal all the access holes that you can, and do the interior door skin. With all that done, and a baffle that blocks the space between the panel and door around the speaker, you will notice a big increase in your midbass and over all increase in volume.
When you are looking to step up to bigger and better front components and amping them, let me know if you want to go with higher end stuff, OR at least get on here and let us know your budget and what you end up going with so we can continue to give you the right advice on the install and especially tuning!
