97 cav convertable 2.4l. so i go to my car and my car alarm key remote isnt working. so i open the car (my alarm goes off) and deactivate the alarm. i turn my car on and later realize my interior lights are not going off while im driving. 2 weeks later my radio starts blowing the interior light fuse. im told many times radios are hook up to this fuse to give it more power or something to that nature. i was thinking it was the door jam switch gone bad which is why i couldnt open the door wit my remote, as well as if it was short, then the radio was blowing the fuse due to too much power going to it. i switch the door jam switch and replace fuse. so far radio isnt blowing anymore fuses. but my remote still doesnt work and my interior lights are still staying on. any suggestions please?
radio just blew fuse again so kinda back to square one. any help please?
fuses blow due to overamperage. A short is in the system somewhere.
Your car may do 13 sec @ 103 mph, but my car does 146db @ 35 hz.
Did you change BOTH door switches?
i rarely use the other door so no i havent tried that switch. also would a short keep the lights on? i thought they would turn off and not come on at all?
Hmm, alarm, light not going off, sounds like a wiring nightmare.
