I recently bought an 05 ls sport and noticed that the radio does not turn off after I turn the car off and open the door. I have to manually turn the radio off or it doesn't turn off. The entire car is completely stock. Any Ideas?

Come to think of it, I don't have a chime if I leave my lights on, key in the ignition etc. I DO get the chime when I start the car.

That was almost helpful.. but it seems as though these would be the symptoms of someone replacing the stock radio with a aftermarket one. I see no marks or tampering that would indicate that this actually happened.

I really think your best bet is to pop the damn thing out of the dash and look. See if it has been messed with. trace the wires if it has.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

Does the interior light come on when you open the driver's door? I'll bet that it doesn't.
How about the passenger side? If so... then your driver's side door pin is buggered.

It does come on. Its pretty weird... I am taking it into the stealership today. At least its all under warranty. I made sure to get a "We Owe" slip for these things.

Door switch is stuck. That's about the only thing it could be.
Your car may do 13 sec @ 103 mph, but my car does 146db @ 35 hz.
It was a bad door switch. Replaced it and it's all working as normal.
