I got an amp off of my cousin that stopped working after it got wet (not soaked but enough to cause it to stop working). I've done the initial things I could think of (check the fuse, check capacitors, etc) and I don't know much else about them. Anyone else got any ideas on how to test it without hooking it all up in my car just to find out it doesn't work?
He says the sub should still work but the amp doesn't... IIRC the power light still came on but the amp didn't do anything.
Amp is a Kicker KX400.1 and sub is an L5 Solo Baric.
Thanks.

If you have a battery charger you'll be able to tell if it powers up, and then a portable MP3 unit with a 1/8 inch to RCA male adapter to verify inputs and output work.
Your car may do 13 sec @ 103 mph, but my car does 146db @ 35 hz.
If you try to power it up and it doesn't work, open the case and take a high quality pic of the internals and post them here.
