I have a about an 1100$ budget and I like Fi audio in general im thinking about an soundstream amp 3400D with a 15'' fi sub daily , 0 gauge wire and an altenater. What do you guys think I can get better for my money range??

So you think a sub and amp is a full system? Ugh,......
But really, if you are just looking for a nice sub, amp, and enclosure for $1100, you need to get in touch with me through PM or AIM. I know just the people to talk to, and I can guarantee to blow your mind with what I can do for that price! And if you plan on running 3500 Watts, be prepared to make sure you upgrade your electrical big time or you never will get anywhere close to that. BUT, Why do you think you need more than 1-2K watts on a daily used 15??? Talk to me outside the forum, so I can explain more and get more details on what you really want all around.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

1100 for a full out system!?!?! what about electrical? and like jl said how about front stage?
but honestly, get a sundown and a btl, you be so surprised! lol build the box yourself its real easy. Fi audio is the only way if you want to get stupid loud! lol
so what are your goals anyways? any classes for competition you plan on running in? little punk who is louder than you now that you wanna be louder than? lol but seriously, we need some more info.

im also wondering with my current setup(2 12'' mtx jackhammers and 600 peak amp) When ever i turn it up loud the headunit cuts out along with the subs than turns back on right away and yes i have a bass knob .

what does that have to do with anything? unplug it and set your amp correctly. sounds to me your voltage is getting low.

Not knocking Fi(actually like some of their @!#$), or Sundown(another run of the mill, "we are soo cool and unique but use all the same exact parts as all the other cool and unique companies")... OR his box building skills,. but if you knew who I could have build him a box for the right price, and if you knew how(relatively) cheap I could get a 100% custom built sub to his exact needs and likes, you would @!#$. If he's trying to just do sub, amp, box for $1100, I will blow sundown and Fi out of the water.

No... it sounds like he is clipping the hell out of the signal, so the protection circuits are kicking in and shutting things down. He is trying to get too much volume out of too little power, and probably doesn't have anything tuned right.

prove it... blow my 147.5 out of the water with 1 12 at 34 hz. on 1900 clamped watts...

OMG EVERYTHING, ESPECIALLY DAILY DRIVER CARS, ARE NOT ABOUT GOING BALLS TO THE WALL TO GET BIG @!#$ SPL NUMBERS. He clearly stated DAILY DRIVER. That means, to me, he isn't going to build 8 boxes, try 50 different positions and tones to get the best numbers. It's about getting good SOUND on MUSIC, and it sounds like he wants something big and loud for a single 15. I CAN do all that in price range with better equipment. It's a shame you don't live closer to me, I wish I could show you how us "snobby" SQ guys(according to some of your SPL loving meat heads on another forum), can do real installs. No duct tape, bare boxes, wires every, amp just sitting sideways. A REAL install(be is SQ, Daily, SPL, or otherwise), takes just as much time, or more, as the tuning does. Get over this competition @!#$. Not everyone is on some OMG UBER COOL bass beating, must have nubahs bub!, "team". Some people are looking for GOOD, CLEAN installs, and GOOD CLEAN sound daily. STFU already. This little "spl team" has done nothing but boost that pointless ego of yours even more. Making you think "well I didn't know @!#$, learned a little @!#$, so now I talk like I know everything" turn into "well now I'm on some super cool team like I'm special, so I MUST actually know all the @!#$ I used to bull@!#$ about". Just shut up Anton.

lol, i issued a challege, you issued insults. i do have my amp sideways, i do ahve wires all over the place, i do drive my car everyday, my car is the meaning of "daily", ive never built a high output SPL strickly car. everything ive ver designed, helped ot build have been for daily music, under 35 hz tuning. stop making up excuses. he asked for fi, i know fi, he asked for loud, i know loud. end conversion of you bashing me cause im loud. lol. im here to help, every time i do you but in and tell me im stupid for liking loud music.
if you want to get loud, let me know.

No... I bash you because not so long ago all you had were questions. Now all you have are end-all answers. It's annoying to see you sit here and talk like you know it all, when you are just scraping the surface yourself. Not bashing BECAUSE you are "loud". Bashing because of how you and your fellow dip@!#$s act when you make loud bass(because working with 20-80hz is THE hardest thing in the world, compared to all the other frequencies I can make sound... SOUND good, right? It's not all about loud noises all the time is my point. I am here to make sure people can understand tuning, CLEAN INSTALLS, especially if daily driven, and also understand what higher end gear is about and can do for them. Fi isn't a bad company. I was simply stating that I could get him into a custom built, to his specs, woofer in the same price range. Sundown isn't bad, I can just get him into much more notable HIGHER END amps cheaper or in the same ballpark. And as far as enclosures go... he himself(no offense), neither you(don't care if I offend you, Mr. Ego), can do ANYTHING REMOTELY near the quality, precision, and over all amazingness of the enclosure designer/builder that I am speaking of. And his prices are beyond amazing for the quality and fit and finish of the work. DIY is nice and fun, but when you can have a proven professional give you something custom, unique, and awe-inspiring in your price range, why wouldn't you?
I can build a motor if I want, but I had a proven professional race engine builder do it. Was it because I couldn't? No. It was because I am humble and smart enough to know when someone else can BETTER.

Hi.
Just stopping in to say youre going to need a lot of electrical for 3500 daily.
Shoot for about 1000 to 1500 watts. You probably havent heard a true 4000 watt daily system to understand my logic. Its insane and you really wouldnt be utilizing all of the power daily and that makes it a waste of time unless you want to run SPL in your free time.
Id go for a 12" sub since 15s tend to like bigger boxes. 3-5 cubic feet.. If you want it to get down hit the low and dirty youll need to go bigger on the box (like 4.5 to 5 cubic feet) and the trunk space just isnt there.
For the rest of the brand recommendations and what not Im going to stay out of this because what I have is what I know and I cant give a fair unbiased opinion.
And on the enlcosure, if you have the tools and the time and the patience and the knowledge to design and build your own box go for it. But you need to know your limitations and I wouldnt even attempt another box without a table saw and a second or third set of hands.
Thank you. That is all.
All I want to do is have a nice system that is louder than your usuall pioneer or sony explode system and be louder than my buddies, Of course I like it loud but ya its only a suggestion i asked for. Just want some good impressive bass you know . If i have to build a box i will but i probly wouldnt know how to tune it proper to my liking .

Then 1500 watts would be a good starting point. Im louder than the average Walmart shopper and it impresses most people. You just dont want to start out with 3500 or 4000 watts and find out youre in way over your head as far as electrical. With 1000 watts you can do the AD244 alt swap and still keep a good amount of voltage. I got my alt for $65. When you get into 3500 watts youll need a true HO alt which is $400 or more. So I mean thats half of your budget and the extra battery and 30ish feet of good 1/0 will put you at like $600 atleast. then you dont have any money left for the actualy components.
Stuff spirals out of control really quickly with audio so its best to know exactly what youre looking for and how much youre willing to spend to do it. And luckily you came here with a budget unlike most people.
A good 1000 watt amp will run you $300-400 depending on what you get. $200-400 for a solid 15". $200-300 for a good head unit. $150 probably at the least for the front stage. More if you amp the speakers (which youll definitely want to). $100 for all miscellaneous stuff. I may have forgot something but thats the general cost of all of the components in my system and what Ive seen in my research.
And since I noticed youre in Canada, dont forget import duties and what not depending where you buy from.
also where is the place to put my box where it is the loudest someone said 6 iches away from my trunk will be the loudest .

So what kind of amp do you think i should get that really pushes 1000watts and should i go 2 12'' ported? or 1 15'' ported?

sundown, audio que, any amp really. rockford, alpine. i oculd go on, my favorit is sundown. spendy though worth it!
click sig for my car audio videos
1 15 or 2 12 IMO. I built boxes for a member on here and his 2 12 box was like 6 cubes gross. Which would definitely not fit easily in the trunk. Two 12s will sart eating up space unless you pick some that like smaller boxes.
Im not good with naming brands. Ive only ever ran Sundown Audio stuff.
AudioQue, Sundown Audio, Rockford-Fosgate. higher-end Kicker, Diablo Audio, Audiopipe (still on the line about them. Ive heard stuff either way about them.) SoundStream (If you get the right stuff. Tarantula series. IIRC) Alpine. Most of the companies use similar boards in the amp. Do some looking around. Compare prices and report back.
Some other people here will be able to give some more suggestions.

AudioQue and SA use practically the same board IIRC. Id love to try one of their amps out for my next one.
stay away from diablo please, there stuff breaks... just from what ive heard.. not experienced...
for subwoofers i would like to suggest the new Fi SSD's those things are amazing looking! so a pair of those on a sundown 1200 or 1500 will be louder than you could imagine sir! (in the right box and such)

It all depends on the box and the sub. 6 inches is a good general rule. It worked for my other systems but sounds like crap for my current one. So youll just have to play around once you have everything installed.

did you ever try sideways?

Most people aren't going to rock a sideways box in their daily driver......
Ugh, I would go on and on, but these guys apparently are just going to keep shutting me down(although I am recommending things based on years of experience and my personal known experiences. Not hear-say............)
If you are looking for 1000-1500 watts of clean, true power, that's easy to find a lot of places.
I'm stilling pushing custom made subs for what you are looking at. but if Fi is the name you want to go with, I can't argue them either. I just know you can get something specifically for you, much sexier, similar or better specs, and with similar pricing.

Wont fit sitting sideways as far as I know.

I never said I was listing the definitive list of manufacturers. Im just trying to help the man out. I have also heard good things about PSI and Forevrbumpin (member on SMD.) Though I never have actually checked pricing and hence why I havent suggested them. I want Forverbumpin to build me a monster 8 inch or 10 inch sub.
