Hi All,
Now at my job i search
McMaster-Carr very frequently. and today i decided "hey lets see what they have for sound stuff" (cause they have EVERYTHING! lol) so i did a quick search for "Sound" and found they have some nice sound barrier material and some nice sound dampening stuff, looks just like the Sound Deadener Showdown Stuff just thicker and with a backing (

any ways i was just wondering if the stuff on mcmaster-carr is good sound barrier or good sound dampening? Links Below:

I personally am going to keep sticking to the high end @!#$ that I know for a fact works amazingly... Cascade and SS. period.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.
Liquor is not a drug John, liquor is not a drug.
whats the prices on the "high end" stuff and what makes it good?

Light weight, proprietary vinyl loading. Also Cascade offers a flexible lead barrier. The stuff you linked to will not flex enough to do things like wheel wells and spare tire tubs.
But that stuff looks like it would get the job done.
Cascade VB-3 (Lead, moldable) = $18/sqft
Cascade VB-4 (Vinyl top, somewhat flexible) = $7.75/sqft
Scratch that first post. I was reading the wrong link.
The lead stuff at the bottom of your (4 of the same) link would be similar to VB-3. Looks like it's more expensive than Cascade though.
