so i'm popping fuses on a used amp...

so here it goes guys, i'm running the gear in my profile. shortly to be swapped to a built AD244 alternator replacing my built cs130d. the problem i'm having: popping ONE fuse on my HK401SX after a few minutes of beating on it. this is a replacement unit after the one i got from Jeffrey (Lanman) i mechanically broke and could not for the anything find a speaker terminal for and ended up buying a second unit of. i NEVER had this issue with the first amp, and my tuning has not changed. So far, i have popped one fuse in each of the three positions, as the amp has three 40A atc fuses. not really looking to upgrade, however, i am running two 2 ohm DVC subs, and need something to put out around 2000w rms at said load. any insight as to what my issue is, (talked to JLAudioCavalier and he [and those he's talked to]seem to think it's a cliiped signal/charging system failure/cheap gear, which seems very plausible, but my old amp never had this issue with the same settings.) i'm all ears. also litening for amps that can handle said ohm load and give me similar power. thanks guys.

I already told you. Want me to copy and past the PM here?

Ok here. I will.

General consensus is that you are running a cheap amp (MA Audio, come on! lol) at a .5 ohm load and expecting rated power easily. Your charging system can't keep up, a load as low as half an ohm should be tuned perfectly with an O-scope, or gains set super conservative. You are drawing too much current at such a low load, and that is why you are losing fuses. Out of 4 people who know their SPL crap, everyone agrees. I haven't gotten a single different answer yet lol.

They are VERY VERY inefficient amps. Just like Hifonics, when you drop ohms to get their rated power out of them, they suck some juice. LOTS of juice. And if your charging system can't keep up with what that cheap, overrated, overly power hungry amp wants, you pop the amps fuses.

If you're looking for a second opinion, I can't see anything other than what JL has already mentioned being the cause. Aside from damaged internals, obviously.
