So im in the market to change my interior bulbs to LED.... I have searched and seen different post but none of them tells what size and/or type of led is needed. I have 2000 z24 convetible... soo... I want to change the bulbs from :
1.backing/visor/interior mirror.
2. Both bulbs from the back seat. (by the back speakers)
3. Reverse Lights. Like the one's in the newer models of the Cadillacs.
Any info would be greatly appreciated .
I want them to be BRIGHT and WHITE.
P.D. from Which site is better to buy from.. I don't care about how much they cost. I want quality not quantity.

www.superbrightleds.com
www.oznium.com
www.ebay.com
any other place?
THANKS!!!
Last I looked it up, your map lights have a 194 socket, as does your trunk light. The reverse lamps are 3057 or 3157, cant remember which, but I believe the only difference between the two is a dual filament, and you don't need dual filaments for reverse lights (LEDs dont even offer one).
I have bright white reverse LED from v-leds.com, I believe I've had them for going on 2 years, and they are still working great. Much brighter than stock incandescents.
Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.
what light are you talking about "trunk light".?
so is it 194 or 168? for the map lights
"Map light
168
168LL SYLVANIA Long Life miniature bulbs perform twice as long as any standard miniature bulb. Designed for durability, lower maintenance and greater safety."
Quoted from the sylvania website
They share the same socket, just a different bulb size, so you can use either. I believe 194 is the smaller of the two.

194 and 168 are the same physical size. the difference is in the wattage. same with the 3057/3157. same physical dimensions, just different wattages.
car audio noob since 1984.
Ahh, it was a 912 I was thinking of, it has a larger bulb, but a 194 socket. They come in the Z third brake light.
Thanks for the correction.

Oh Ok cool thanks guys......
So a 194 type bulb for the MAP LIGHTS.
and a 3057 for the REVERSE LIGHTS.
I still need the one that are by the side of the back speaker... I assume that they are 194 type bulbs too?
By the way.. how can you take out the plastics fromt the map lights? with just a small flat screwdriver and they will pop out?

Oh, you have a vert... that would have been good info to have.
Pop the cover off it and have a look.

3x56 is single filament
3x57 is dual
As for reverse lights, I got this
^^the plate frame is actually brighter than that, my camera kind of sucks
soo v-leds.com are better than superbrightleds.com????
and also how much did it cost you that plate?
The last time I bought from superbright was several years ago, but looking at the current selection, it doesn't appear to come close to v-leds, course superbright's web site could probably do with a makeover for easier browsing.

yes its a bit spendy, but coming from firsthand experience, this + 20% tint on the back glass = can actually see what's behind w/out having to roll down the driver's window
I highly recommend Oznium.com. The quality of not only the product, but also the customer service is outstanding.
I've had experience with V-LEDS and I can say they are great! They have great quality products and the customer service is great too. I bought a relay wiring kit for my HID kit from them and it was very well built. Also, just as a rule of thumb, make sure that you get the color matching what lens you are replacing the bulb with cause if you put a white led behind say... a red lens, it wouldn't be as bright as if you was to put a red led behind it. I actually have orange leds in my cluster when I did my Sunfire dash swap and they show orange behind that silly red tint that they have on there.
