I'm thinking about adding another 12V source on my 2001 Cavalier. I got two places in mind: inside the center console or in the storage slot in my dash kit. Anyone else have any ideas? Show me some pics please.

What do you mean by 12v source? Cig lighter or just a wire coming out. More details.

if you use a wire you can pretty much have it come out anywhere you want it.

attach a cigarette lighter to a wire and you can pretty much have it come out of anywhere.

Really its up to you, but if I were going to add one somewhere:

I would look to the area around the tray in front of the gear shift. Either mount one with a bracket, TASTEFULLY, facing the gear shift
OR
Mount it flush to the bottom of the plastic dish/tray so it's facing straight up. In either case you may even be able to fit 2 in, side by side.

I've seen it on the front of the center console along the side near the front, basically by the passenger's feet.

Yeah I've seen that before too. I didn't like it though because it's so easy for the passenger (usually a woman in my car) to kick it and !#@% it all up.
