Components powered by factory amp?

seems to me like i could just extend the wires from the trunk to the doors,, after looking around im wondering would there be an impedence issue? and would it be a waste of time (the factory amp doesnt have much along the lines of power does it?)
Any thoughts people?

It would be okay, but do you have an aftermarket deck? Aftermarket decks (typically) put out more power than the stock amp anyway.

But yes, you could extend the wires, assuming the components you're putting in are normal. Some companies sell components that don't sum up to 4Ohms.

More importantly, what is the resistance of the factory speakers in the amped system? I know some cars are weird numbers with a factory amp.

The impedance of the factory speakers is 4W

Then there should be no problem, another fact learned. Do they use the same speaker for both the amped and non amped applications?

Gm has two different part numbers for them, but IIRC they're the same speaker.
