Backlight questions (odometer, radio)
Tuesday, January 25, 2011 9:25 PM
I have a few quick questions regarding the backlights of both my odometer and my radio. First, my odometer light works but the numbers scramble all the time and it keeps going back and forth from jumbling or scrambling to showing the mileage again. I've searched for this problem but haven't been able to find anything solid on if it's able to be fixed. Does anybody know if it can be easily fixed (i.e. loose wire) or is it something that would definitely need a new cluster to fix? Second, the backlight on my radio went out some time ago, and I'd like to know if it can be fixed without replacing the whole radio (i.e. replacement bulb). I know the screen still works because I can see it if the sun hits it right, but other than that I can't see any display since the light went out. I've searched on the internet and in the old posts for these problems, but I've found it hard to find the info I'm looking for. If anybody could help me with either of these issues with letting me know if there's anything I can do about them I would really appreciate it. Btw, the problems are on a 2002 Sunfire SE.
