ok my gauges brake lights and turn signals quit working after i put a new battery in
checked the fuse box and the ones under the hood
If all you did was swap batteries and those 3 things stopped working, I'm still set on checking fuses...... "checked the fuse box and the one under the hood"... ok so what did you do to check? Pull each fuse and see if it was blown? Use a test light and make sure there's current flowing through each fuse when each thing is on? Or did you simply look and go "yup, got me a box full of fuses"?
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

There's a bunch of ground wires that terminate on the battery tray, and on the frame rail just below it. Including the grounds that eventually lead up to the switch for your signals... I suspect you've somehow disturbed the connection there. Double check the wire that goes to the negative terminal on the battery - it should go down to the battery tray connection, then over towards the engine.
If you have corrosion on any of those grounds... usually caused by a leaking factory Delco battery... clean it up, fix any bad wiring, and put it back together. You'll probably fix the problem with that alone.
