I think the perp can actually sue you for that. Watch yourself.

If you're serious about it. Put your sub box in where you want it. Then go under the car and drive some screws up through the floor into the box. Watch out for wires and fuel lines obviously.

It is illegal. Intent to cause bodily harm. I think if you put up clear warning signs saying "knives on box, don't touch" you're ok, but don't take my word for it.

Get yourself a bunch op piezo sirens and hook em up inside your trunk in tandem with your alarm siren. They're also called "pain generators", and are entirely legal.

the best option here would be putting 3 train horns in your trunk and have them wired to go off once your trunk gets popped open. that way you can really hurt their hearing

but what if i open the trunk, i just want it for when the alarm goes off so does it

He means have the alarm unit watch for the trunk to be open and then if the alarm goes off and the trunk is open the train horns will go.

While that would be impressive, it would also be very expensive and the only benefit over piezo would be that everyone within a five mile radius would hear it.

Piezo sirens are built for this purpose exactly. Your local audio shop might have them, otherwise ebay.

Do as Brad says. If I were to try to take your box and it was bolted down or covered in razor blades I would probably take the liberty to smash your sub in and destroy whatever else I could on my way out.

well i have 2 street machine 12's in a closed box that has a piece of thick plexy glass in front of it. so it would be hard to smash in my subs but im thinking about the piezos but i asked our security guard which is a sheriff and he said as long as i had a warning sign saying sharp objects that they couldnt sue so im thinking if i go with the blades ima put caustion: sharp objects on the plexy glass

Would you really rather clean up all the blood?

Getting blood stains all through your trunk/car sounds like the winning options dude. Sounds like your heads on straight and you have it alllll figured out...

i know if i was a theif and you did that id prop kick every one of your cars body panels and throw som rocks thru your glass. don't be dumb. just bolt the damn thing down to the trunk with hidden screws or saftey screws so they can't get it out and throw a horn in the trunk to annoy the hell out of them. that loud of a sound will scare most thiefs off quickly. you should bolt your sub boxes down for your own saftey not just beause of thiefs

A few suggestions I can give you
[list=1]
Park your car in a garage if at all possible

[list=2]
Never forget to set your alarm

[list=3]
Keep your car in a well let place if you can't park it inside a garage

[list=4]
Motion sensor lights (perhaps) if parking your car outside

[list=5]
Keep the BOOM down when driving around your neighborhood

[list=6]
Make quick release connections to your box and remove it every time you park your car

[list=7]
Have good auto insurance, most insurances state that if it's attached to the vehicle, they will replace it
e.g. if your subs are connected to an amp which is secure and connected to your stereo which is mounted in your car, the subs are considered connected
I know this because I had my car broke into and my insurance replaced my entire system which was stolen.... WITHOUT the face plate on the stereo... what?!
[list=8]
To the ultimate extreme, remove the subs from your car and don't put them back in.... this is what I eventually ended up doing after my car was broken into again and the thieves tried stealing my replacement system... something scared them off

[list=9]
Move to Texas where you can protect your property with deadly force

Definately don't do the razor thing because if they are injured, they now have more rights than you and will most likely sue against your home owners insurance

call your insurance company to be safe and don't assume your covered. some companies are very strict on what they will cover. some will say oem locations only. some say oem equipment only. know that your covered and don't just assume you are.
